Where has time gone?

It has been so long since I've posted here in my lil blog, but I have been so busy over the past few months undertaking Semester One of my Diploma in Graphic Design at BNIT.  As part of my Web Design unit I was required to create a website showcasing my creativity, here is the link if you are interested in checking it out Grace's Portfolio Site.  I would love to hear your comments via the contact form located on my site.
Over the next two weeks I am having a much needed holiday.  Hoping to get some visiting time in there and catch a movie or two with the kids.
The days here in Brisbane are gorgeous at this time of year.  The mornings are quiet chilly, but once the sun is up it is very tempting just to sit in the sun and read.  I am hoping to spend some time perfecting my skills in all those Adobe applications that I was introduced to at TAFE.  First on my list is Flash.  I love the animations that I can create so easily using this programme... though having said that I must admit to having to re-educate myself in some of the basics, as all the knowledge got squished in there with Illustrator, In-Design, Fireworks, HTML, CSS and goodness knows what else!!

Here are a couple of images I would like to share with you.  A random selection of tasks I completed at TAFE over the last few months...... enjoy....

This image of the human body, detailing the muscular structure, was created using Adobe Illustrator.  This was my lecturer's way of teaching us the 'Pen Tool'... talk about Pen Tool Boot Camp!! At least now I know exactly which of my muscles actually ache from sitting at the computer for so long :)

I created this Self Portrait using Adobe Illustrator.  I'm very happy with the side view, not so pleased with the front - but honestly does anyone actually like seeing pictures of themselves ??

Mirus Client Site.

One of the tasks earlier in the semester was to create a web site for a (fictious) client.  We were given the images and text to use and were required to spend approximately 7 hrs (one class) constructed the site. Here is my creation...

Mirus Assessment Site

This is the background image I created for my Mirus Assessment Site.  I used a range of digital scrapbooking files to create a fresh and welcoming tone for this Flower Studio site.
