Seeing red

I just loved playing with these layouts which I created after visiting the fantastic
Deviant Scrap site. There is so much inspiration on this site, both in their store and in the amazing gallery. I have wanted to experiment with Art Journals for a while now, and it appears that I am getting closer to actually doing it. Aren't the vintage images just gorgeous?
I've used Jen's wonderful Word Art from her Word Art World Blog as well.
Thanks for looking,

and here is....

Thanks For the Memories

This layout shows my three older boys dressed in their finest and ready to go to their school ball. Their Primary School, in Biloela - Qld, always held a formal ball at the end of the year for all grades preschool through to Year 7. The student's learnt ballroom dancing for weeks leading up to the event, and it was certainly a highlight on the social calendar for all concerned.
This layout is made using Jen's "Thanks" papers. Jen has released a pack containing 10 various flavours of this paper - I have chosen to collage them for my background. I've also used alpha's from Word Art World April Release "On Neutral Ground" alpha pack.

But wait .... there's more....

Jen is releasing so many great Word Art Packs this April that she has got us girls on the Creative Team creating non-stop - and we are loving it!!!
Here are two more layouts using Jen's April New Release products.
"Lovely fields of Green" uses Word Art from Jen's Beautiful Spring WAP. This photo was taken on one of my road trips down the east coast of NSW on the way to Sydney. It's taken atop a lookout which has gorgeous views of Byron Bay .... heaven on earth for sure.

It's Good to be a kid!

Give a bored kid a digi camera in the back seat of the car and this is what happens. James enjoyed taking self-portraits as we drove along. He was trying to make his meanest face possible. I love using these papers and embellishments by Tracey Howard from here Dirt with Attitude range. And Jen's word art from her "Good to be a Kid" pack suits it to a tee! Visit the Word Art World store at Gotta Pixel to see more cool word art that is so easy to recolour to match any layout scheme. The "Good to be a Kid" pack is due for release April 25th, 2011.

Gotta Grab It over at Gotta Pixel ...

Here are two layouts I made using the fantastic range of products from Jen's WordArt World store at Gotta Pixel. These Easter items are due to be released on the 9th April and are just perfect for all those chocolate eggs and Easter hunt photos that we all have.

I used Springtime is Felt Word Art Pack, Eggs-tradordinary WAP,Spring Blossoms Alpha Pack, Bits of Spring WAP and Jen's April Papers. Aren't they great! Pop over to Jen's shop and see what other eye-candy she has for you.

April New Releases at GP...

Well Jen has certainly outdone herself with her New Releases at Gotta Pixel. You should see the Alpha Grab Bag that she has on sale on the moment ....
Alpha Grab Bag Vol I

This grab bag features 20 alpha sets, which includes a mixture of upper case and lower case alpha, including some numbers and punctuation. Each alpha character comes in an individual .png file and may be recolored, resized or modified to suit your needs.
Here is a layout I created using just some of the fonts...

Just Horsing Around .....

Jen, over at Word Art World has a wonderful Sunshine Word Art pack coming up for sale in early April at Gotta Pixel, and this quote about smiling sent of looking for just the right image to go with it.
Well I think I found it on BoGoBoo.com ..... isn't my horsy image beautiful ? I was originally going for a crocodile smile - but I couldn't go past this cutie :)

I hope it puts a smile on your dial today,
Happy scrapping
